MuDo IMA RESERVATIONS

Hello everyone,

Thank you for your interest in taking class at MuDo IMA!

We are taking reservations for our junior classes on a weekly basis. Please use the form on this page to contact us for which days your student would like to take class, or if you would like to register for a free trial class.

LA City Mandates have allowed for a full reopening of gyms and fitness centers, so the previously named "Outside Class" has been renamed to "Open Class" for our junior students. More slots are available per day than are listed below.

MuDo Adults & Teens students (ages 14+) are not required to register for weekly reservations at this time. For anyone interested in signing up for a free trial class for this group, please use the contact form to let us know, and we will help you with the steps from there!

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Los Angeles County and Santa Monica City guidelines have allowed for a full reopening of gyms and fitness centers, including martial arts schools like ours. Full indoor capacity is now permitted. Students are still required to wear masks.

Our Health and Safety protocols are listed at the bottom of this page.

Please be sure to use the reservations system 24 hours before class to help other families determine training days.

MuDo Adults & Teens Classes are available (Ages 14+)

Please contact us if you are interested in a free trial class!

This Week's Reservations

Last Updated: 7/23/21, 8pm

All classes can accommodate more students than the 6 - 8 "slots" that we have listed. These are merely listed as a default starting number. Although we can accommodate more per class, we encourage students to spread out throughout different days of the week.

MuDo Kids class students now have the option of training during the MuDo Kids Online class block, or the regular Outside Class block. Please let us know which class block you would like to reserve! MuDo Kids is the older kids class, for 8 years and older.

Details for MuDo IMA's Open Classes

MAKING RESERVATIONS TO TRAIN IN MUDO OUTDOOR CLASS:

  • Reserving space and coming to train on the mat at MuDo will officially unfreeze a student's regular membership. Welcome back!

  • The separate MuDo Online classes for $85/month will still be running on its regular schedule. We encourage students to continue with online training in addition to regular training, especially as training space and reservations at the school will be limited as things transition.

  • City mandates have allowed for a full reopening of fitness centers and gyms, including martial arts schools. Full indoor capacity is now permitted. Masks are still required for all students and instructors.

  • We will be taking reservations for outdoor class training space on a weekly basis.

  • Students can only reserve as many classes per week as their regular membership was registered for (1 class per week, 2 classes per week, etc).

  •  If you need to cancel your reservation, please do so 24 hours ahead of time.

Cleaning and Safety Protocol at MuDo IMA

In adherence to city mandates, as well as our own efforts to keep our school environment safe for our MuDo Families, the following protocols will be observed at the school when students come for reserved classes:

  • Please wait outside at the check-in station and we will admit you! This will be a table in the back lot area when you enter through the back parking lot.

  • Temperatures will be taken at the check-in station, using a no-contact device that takes temperatures from two inches away. Instructors will check their own temperatures first, and anyone entering the school (primarily the students) will have their temperatures taken next. The reading should be between 96 - 99 degrees. A temperature of 99.8 degrees or higher may indicate fever, and we will need to reschedule you for another day. Thank you for your patience, your health and safety is important to us!

  • Students and families are required to bring masks/face coverings from home. These are allowed to be taken off during water breaks with proper social distancing. Gloves are no longer required, but we will have disposable gloves available for $1 for two pairs, and disposable masks available at the school for $2 each if you need one.

  • Please maintain 3-feet social distancing.

  • Los Angeles County guidelines include the requirement that anyone not training should not be in the viewing area. So, all non-training family members will need to sit in a distanced outside seating area, or relax in their cars during class. Thank you for your understanding! The space previously used as a viewing area is being adapted into expanded training equipment space.

  • Students and family members may still come in to use the restroom, but will need to undergo a quick temperature check.

  • Hand sanitizer is available for students' use at the school, as well as antibacterial soap in the restroom. We also have wet wipes available at the front desk on request. We encourage everyone to make use of these resources to help keep themselves and their fellow students safe! We will also have personal hand sanitizer bottles available for purchase at MuDo for $3 if students would like to have their own bottle.

A Few Notes While Training at MuDo IMA:

For the health and safety of our MuDo Community, here are a few reminders of training protocols that are in place at this time:

  • Kihaps will be de-emphasized at this time. Kicks and strikes can be done without kihapping.

  • We will not be doing sparring or grappling in juniors classes at this time, in order to keep contact between students at a minimum. Partner work will be introduced again at a later time, but at the beginning, students will not have physical contact with each other.

  • As always at MuDo, and especially now, students must be respectful to each other and the instructors.

  • If students need to catch their breath during drills while wearing a mask, they should step aside momentarily to do so.

Thank you everyone! We will inform you of any new updates as they come. Take care!
